2.5mm is the lightest black zip tie we stock: thin enough to sit neatly on small looms and single leads, and UV stabilised so it still holds outdoors. Every size has an 8kg breaking strain and comes 100 to a pack, with 500 and 1000 packs available.

When to go wider

An 8kg tie is for light work: holding wires together, not holding weight. If the tie is taking a load, or the bundle is thicker than a thumb, step up to 3.6mm black zip ties (18kg) or 4.8mm black zip ties (22kg). Compare every width in the black zip ties range.
