Double Head Zip Ties

53

A double head zip tie has two locking heads on one strap, so it holds two separate bundles side by side and keeps them apart. Ours are 4.8mm x 370mm black nylon 66, UV stabilised, with a 22kg breaking strain, 100 to a pack.

Where they help

Use them where two runs travel together but should not mix: power and data, vehicle and trailer looms, switchboard wiring, or parallel hose and wiring runs. One tie does the job of two and keeps the gap even.

How to fit them

Thread the first bundle through one head and pull it snug, then wrap the second bundle and lock it in the other head. Each loop is tensioned separately, so you can hold a fat bundle and a thin one with the same tie.

For a single bundle, a standard 4.8mm black zip tie is cheaper. For heavy hoses that need separating, use dual handcuff zip ties instead.
