304 Stainless Steel Zip Ties

34

304 is the everyday stainless grade. It handles heat near exhausts and engines, years of sun, and most chemicals, where a nylon tie would go brittle or soften. Each tie has a self-locking ball head, and you can buy packs of 10 or 100.

For the coast, boats and salt spray, step up to 316 marine grade stainless. If bare metal could rub through insulation, use nylon coated 304 ties.

Common questions

304 or 316?

304 handles heat, sun and most chemicals. For the coast, boats and salt spray, step up to 316 marine grade.

Which sizes are there?

4.6 x 200mm, 4.6 x 300mm, 4.6 x 350mm, 4.6 x 500mm, 7.8 x 250mm, 7.8 x 350mm, 7.8 x 500mm. The 7.8mm width suits heavier loads.

Will bare metal damage my cables?

It can rub through insulation under vibration. Where that is a risk, use nylon coated 304 ties. Fit either with a stainless steel zip tie gun.
