Yellow male blade terminals for 5mm wire. They give a wire a 6.4mm spade tab that a female blade pushes onto. Yellow marks 5mm wire in our colour code, which covers the heaviest circuits in this range.
What they fit
Use them on 5mm wire for jobs such as:
- driving light and spotlight feeds
- camper, fridge and trailer power runs
- earth straps and heavier accessory leads
The 6.4mm tab size is the common spade size on automotive switches, relays, fuse holders and accessories.
How to fit them
- Crimp the 5mm wire into the yellow barrel.
- Push a female blade of the yellow 6.4mm onto the tab.
- Pull straight to separate; no tools needed.
Use a ratchet crimping tool: it will not release until the crimp is complete, so every yellow 5mm join gets the same pressure. Where the join will see water, seal it with dual wall heat shrink.
