2.4mm 3:1 Dual Wall Heat Shrink

2.4mm 3:1 dual wall heat shrink, sold by the metre at $2.00 and cut to the length you order. It shrinks to a third of its size, down to about 0.8mm, and the adhesive inner liner melts to seal the join against water.

Picking the size

Choose a diameter that slides over the widest part of the join. 2.4mm tubing passes over parts up to about 2.4mm across and grips wire down to about 0.8mm once shrunk. Larger: 3.2mm.

At 2.4mm, a small heat gun nozzle or reflector keeps the heat on the tube and off nearby insulation. For dry joins that need no seal, single wall heat shrink costs less.
