30mm 3:1 Dual Wall Heat Shrink

30mm 3:1 dual wall heat shrink, sold by the metre at $18.00 and cut to the length you order. It shrinks to a third of its size, down to about 10mm, and the adhesive inner liner melts to seal the join against water.

What 30mm suits

• battery leads and lugs
• big connectors and bundled wiring
• cable ends on solar, marine and plant equipment

Picking the size

Choose a diameter that slides over the widest part of the join. 30mm tubing passes over parts up to about 30mm across and grips wire down to about 10mm once shrunk. Smaller: 25mm. Larger: 39mm.

A 30mm sleeve takes longer to recover: keep the heat gun moving all the way round the tube so one side does not overheat before the other shrinks.
