Blue ring terminals for 4mm wire, made to fit a 6mm bolt. They go right around a bolt or stud, so the connection cannot slip off even if the nut loosens.
What they fit
With a 6mm bolt hole, these suit jobs such as:
- chassis and body earth points
- fuse block and bus bar studs
- M6 accessory mounting bolts
Blue 4mm wire covers medium-duty circuits, such as horns and cooling fans and fuel pump and relay wiring.
How to fit them
- Crimp the 4mm wire into the blue barrel.
- Take the M6 nut off, slide the ring over the bolt and refit the M6 nut.
- Tighten firmly; the ring sits flat under the M6 nut.
An M6 nut usually takes a 10mm spanner. Match the hole to the bolt: a 6mm hole on a smaller bolt leaves the terminal loose under the nut.
Use a ratchet crimping tool: it will not release until the crimp is complete, so every blue 4mm join gets the same pressure. Where the join will see water, seal it with dual wall heat shrink.
Pick this size for an M6 bolt. For an M4 bolt, use the blue 4mm. For an M8 bolt, step up to the blue 8mm.
