Blue piggy back blade terminals for 4mm wire. They push onto a 6.4mm tab and give you a second tab on top, so two wires share one connection. Blue marks 4mm wire in our colour code, which covers medium-duty circuits.
What they fit
Use them on 4mm wire for jobs such as:
- horns and cooling fans
- fuel pump and relay wiring
- 12V sockets and accessory feeds
The 6.4mm tab size is the common spade size on automotive switches, relays, fuse holders and accessories.
How to fit them
- Crimp the new wire into the blue barrel.
- Pull the existing female blade off the tab, push the piggy back on, then refit the original blade to its tab.
- Both circuits now run from one 6.4mm tab.
Use a ratchet crimping tool: it will not release until the crimp is complete, so every blue 4mm join gets the same pressure. Where the join will see water, seal it with dual wall heat shrink.
