Red fork terminals for 3mm wire, made to fit a 4mm stud. They slide under a screw or stud without the screw coming all the way out.
What they fit
With a 4mm stud hole, these suit jobs such as:
- switch panel and terminal block screws
- small accessory and gauge terminals
- M4 earth screws on brackets
Red 3mm wire covers light-duty circuits, such as interior and dash lighting and indicator and tail light wiring.
How to fit them
- Crimp the 3mm wire into the red barrel.
- Loosen the M4 nut or screw a few turns, slide the fork under it and tighten.
- Where vibration is heavy, use a ring terminal instead.
An M4 nut usually takes a 7mm spanner. Match the hole to the stud: a 4mm hole on a smaller stud leaves the terminal loose under the nut.
Use a ratchet crimping tool: it will not release until the crimp is complete, so every red 3mm join gets the same pressure. Where the join will see water, seal it with dual wall heat shrink.
Pick this size for an M4 stud. For an M6 stud, step up to the red 6mm.
