6.4mm 3:1 Black Dual Wall Heat Shrink

6.4mm 3:1 dual wall heat shrink, sold by the metre at $5.50 and cut to the length you order. It shrinks to a third of its size, down to about 2.1mm, and the adhesive inner liner melts to seal the join against water.

Picking the size

Choose a diameter that slides over the widest part of the join. 6.4mm tubing passes over parts up to about 6.4mm across and grips wire down to about 2.1mm once shrunk. Smaller: 4.8mm. Larger: 7.9mm.

At 6.4mm, a small heat gun nozzle or reflector keeps the heat on the tube and off nearby insulation. For dry joins that need no seal, single wall heat shrink costs less.
