7.9mm 3:1 Black Dual Wall Heat Shrink

7.9mm 3:1 dual wall heat shrink, sold by the metre at $6.50 and cut to the length you order. It shrinks to a third of its size, down to about 2.6mm, and the adhesive inner liner melts to seal the join against water.

Picking the size

Choose a diameter that slides over the widest part of the join. 7.9mm tubing passes over parts up to about 7.9mm across and grips wire down to about 2.6mm once shrunk. Smaller: 6.4mm. Larger: 9.5mm.

Shrink 7.9mm tubing from the middle out so air is pushed to the ends, and stop once a ring of adhesive shows at each end.
